Letter from us to the world

Hey Gamers,

Guess what? Ayelet Studio is officially on the gaming map, and we couldn't be more psyched to share this moment with each and every one of you! I'm Abraham (Call me AB), the head honcho here at Ayelet, and I wanted to drop you a personal note about our big launch and the exciting journey that lies ahead.

First things first – who are we? We're a bunch of passionate gamers from the heart of Chennai, India, carving out our space in the gaming universe. Yep, we're a small indie studio, but hey, we believe in dreaming big and playing even bigger.

At Ayelet Studio, our game development compass is guided by four core pillars that we hold dear to our gaming hearts:

  1. Pushing Boundaries of Gameplay Innovation & Experiences:
We're not here to follow the crowd; we're here to lead it. Get ready for gaming experiences that redefine the rules and keep you on the edge of your seat.

  2. "Indian Dream" of Creating World-Class Games:
We're on a mission to infuse the magic of India into the gaming scene with world-class quality. We want to represent every Indian Gamer's dream of creating world-class games & stories for the world.

  3. Community-Driven Game Decisions:
You, dear gamers, are the architects of our worlds. We want to hear your thoughts, ideas, and crazy suggestions. Our games are a collaboration, and your voice matters.

  4. Employee First Culture:
Happy devs, happy games. We're all about creating an environment where our team can thrive, innovate, and bring you games that resonate with the soul.

Now, let's talk about the excitement brewing in our studio – "Unsung Empires: The Cholas". It's the name buzzing around the office, and we can't wait to spill the beans. UETC is a narrative-driven action-adventure game played from a third-person perspective, with platforming elements. Players use swords, melee combat, and stealth to combat against hostile enemies. For most of the game, players control Rajendra Chola — a Tamil Chola emperor of South India who succeeded his father, Rajaraja Chola I, to the throne in 1025 CE. This prologue follows the journey of Chola’s overseas conquest, where the Chola Navy crossed the ocean and attacked the Srivijaya kingdom of Sangrama Vijayatungavarman. Rajendra Chola is known for his cross-ocean expeditions, architecture, and literature in Tamil history.

In addition to it, the game's spoken language will be in Tamil & subtitled in English & Hindi. “Tamil” is the world’s ancient language spoken by millions around the world even today. Tamil has more than 2000+ years of poems, lifestyle & history, which is way ahead of our times. From our childhood, we are really proud of what our Tamil culture represents & Tamil taught us humanity, compassion & ideology. We call our language as our Mother and so its called Mother-tongue. When we started working on the prologue story, We wanted to make sure we try to do justice to historical accuracy/identity & leave something behind for the next generation. Gaming doesn’t have to be addictive and time-wasting; personally, all of my life lessons are learned from gaming & movies. The Cholas have an untold story, and we're weaving it into a gaming experience as authentic as possible.

Our vision is simple – to create unique and impactful gaming experiences that resonate worldwide. We're not just making games; we're crafting adventures, emotions, and memories.

This won't be possible without our amazing team right? Here are the folks who make things happen: (as of Oct 2023)
