We are delighted to announce our collaboration with Kosai Nagaran, a group of passionate musicians from Tamil Nadu who specialize in preserving and performing ancient traditional music. For over 12 years, they have been reviving centuries-old instruments rooted deeply in Tamil culture. The group pays homage to the ancient trade hub of Koyambedu (modern-day Chennai), from which their name is derived.

Crafting an Extraordinary Gaming Experience

What made our collaboration so thrilling was the infusion of ancient sounds and instruments that we had never encountered before. The recording session was especially magical—witnessing the mastery with which the artists played rare instruments was energizing and deeply moving.

Kosai Nagaran is committed to reviving and showcasing this endangered art form. Not only do they perform and display these instruments, but they also offer lessons, ensuring that the tradition is passed on to future Tamil generations. Their shop serves as both a cultural museum and a learning space.

Our soundtrack recording took place at The Mystic’s Room, a studio in Nungambakkam, Chennai. The atmosphere, the instruments, and the team’s passion helped us infuse authenticity and soul into Unsung Empires: The Cholas.
